Silver Dollar City Homeschool Day

Excitement is in the air! Homeschool Day at Silver Dollar City is just around the corner! October 4th is the big day and this will be the biggest event that Silver Dollar City has ever had for the homeschoolers. Cindy has done an awesome job this year of trying to do fun things as those that filled out the surveys asked.
Please note that when you arrive come to the Guest House. We will be located at the front of the house in the horse shoe. We will have certificates for your children, goody bags, schedule for the day just for the homeschoolers, and more. We will have a BIG homeschool banner above us this year to help find us.
This year Cindy has added the physics part back in that was requested! This is where the homeschoolers go under the ride to see they run them. Also, you will find on the schedule where the craftsmen throughout the city will be doing a special time with the kids (just for homeschoolers). For example, always loved the hand dipping of the candles, here is your chance for the kids to have hands on experience. BUT, you must attend the event during the time on the schedule to take advantage of the hands on experiences.
Another thing they added this year, was instead of having to have a two day ticket you can choose and either buy the two day pass (use code 78106) or you can buy the one day pass with a meal. The one-day tickets (use code 78116) are $37.08 (tax included) for ages 12+ and $34.93 (tax included) for ages 4-11. This ticket is only good for October 4.
Cindy has also gotten specials for 7 different hotels in Branson. Check out the website for the different hotels http://www.match-inc.org/sdc.html. The one the we highly recommend is the Stone Castle Hotel and Conference Center, they are giving us a $59.00 flat rate for the weekend. You can reserve your room there by calling 1-800-942-3553 and ask for Judi Legard. Let her know that you are calling about the Homeschool Day at SDC special and was referred by Orilla Crider. This hotel goes by the name of Branson Settle Inn. This past year they have remodeled the rooms and they all have brand new beds they also have 24 hour security provide a safe atmosphere for youth groups. We are also able to provide leisure activities with 2 indoor pools and our Arcade/Game room.Extended Continental Breakfast - 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM daily (Juice, coffee, toast, bagels & cream cheese, English muffins, hot & cold cereal and fresh fruit), with FREE Morning Show! These rooms will be going fast so get your reservations in NOW.

Cindy has also got special homeschool bands that need to be worn by all homeschool family members all day long. This year they have homeschool written on them and the park workers have been notified in advance and will be noticing those with them on.
We have a special author that will be in the park for Homeschool Day this year! Sherry Cook, one of the authors of Quirkles will be on hand for those that buy the books to sign for the kids.
